Spectrum Transformation Group is recognized as a leader by community stakeholders in the state of Virginia.  Since 2010, Spectrum has expanded its services to not only include the Richmond area but also Harrisonburg, VA. The mission of Spectrum Transformation Group is to provide gold standard services to its clients and families. We recently moved to a state-of-the-art facility which features a sensory playroom, Open Classroom, multiple Treatment rooms and an Evaluation Center for our Licensed Psychologists in our efforts to provide a variety of services to the community we serve which includes:

Intensive Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Services:  Spectrum understands the importance of addressing challenging behaviors and takes a collaborative, positive approach to the treatment of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disorders.  Our ABA Services are provided in the family’s home and community and in our clinic. Each child and their family have an interdisciplinary team that includes a Licensed Behavior Analyst, at least one Registered Behavior Technician, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and a Speech and Language Pathologist.

Social Skills Groups: Spectrum provides social skill training in a group setting to individuals who are in need of social skill training and support. The goal of these groups is to increase functional social skills used in everyday social settings. More importantly, we teach individuals how to understand others and to unlock the social code. In every lesson and activity, there are opportunities to improve perspective-taking, which is at the core of social connectedness.

Speech and Language Therapy: Speech-Language Pathologist are licensed professionals who focus on improving communication and swallowing across the life span. All speech-language pathologist at Spectrum Transformation Group hold active licenses with the state of Virginia and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Learning Development Center Programs: Center-based services can allow for better assessment of skills and behaviors. Our center includes an indoor playroom (with swings, slide, and climbing wall), which allows for breaks with gross motor activities. Our center also includes a dedicated observation suite, allowing unobtrusive observation by parents and clinicians as well as analog functional analyses, clinical assessment that is often desirable, but seldom feasible without this resource. Programs include:

Evaluation Services: Spectrum Transformation Group provides full Psychological and Educational Evaluations to individuals across the lifespan. Results of these evaluations are used to clarify diagnosis, aid in treatment planning, document the need for higher level supports, and to give a detailed picture of an individual’s strengths and areas of needed growth. All evaluations are conducted by Licensed Clinical Psychologists.

Individuals & Family Therapy: Licensed Clinical Psychologists work with individuals from childhood to adulthood on an outpatient basis at the Richmond office of Spectrum Transformation Group. Our psychologists offer individual and family therapy as well as parenting help. Our psychologists also assist individuals with a variety of concerns including: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit, Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety, learning and academic difficulties, relationship issues, stress management and coping.
