This presentation is an autobiographical sketch tracing Gyasi's journey to becoming an autism self-advocate. He will discuss his late childhood autism diagnosis and the research he did in college to better understand autism. He will also talk about the collaboration with his mother (which unfortunately ended when she passed away) and what he learned as a fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital and the Institute for Community Inclusion at UMass Boston.
