Dr. Strang will present on the co-occurrence of autism spectrum disorder and gender diversity. He will discuss gender diversity in general, and then focus on the common overlap between transgender identity and autism spectrum disorder. His talk is designed for providers, families, and advocates. He will include a summary of what research tells us about the gender-diversity and autism co-occurrence and he will also provide practical information on how to support autistic gender-exploring young people. His talk will feature inspiring life-stories autistic transgender self-advocates.
